Get the exact keywords typed by visitors

This method is really useful to optimize broad keywords mostly. Here are the simple steps to get exact keyword report.

Step 1) Create a duplicate profile which will track only ppc search campaign traffic.

Step 2) Add the filter 'AdWords data to custom field - I' for capturing bidding keyword from AdWords

Step 3) Add the filter 'AdWords data to custom field - II' for separating 'bidding keywords' and 'exact keywords used by visitors'

Step 4) Make sure that filter order should be as given below. Because tracked data processes from first filter to last filter.

And the finally you will see the keyword report under Traffic Sources >> Keywords which will be as like here.

How to use this report?

This report will help you to know that what the visitors are looking for and which bidding keywords are triggered. You will get a list of relevant keywords and irrelevant keywords. You can add irrelevant keywords as negative keywords for your search campaignd in AdWords. If you find any new relevant keywords which you haven't used in AdWords, you can add it immediately in your AdWords' keyword list.
